One of my best friends, who is in her 70's is in need of some strong prayer. She found out she has cancer in her lung and they biopsied a lymph node and it was there also. They are going to start 15 days of radiation then the chemo treatments.

She's a lovely lady and I'm asking that you all pray for her. The Doctors said the cancer looked localized but if it spread to the lymph node then I don't think it's stayed put. They will be doing a CAT scan Wednesday.

On top of all this she's having a biopsy Tuesday because they found what they think is a calcium deposit in her breast.

I'm just holding her in my prayers and hope you all will do the same. Thanks.

Oh Sandpiper, what a traumatic time for your friend, and for you. I'm so sorry...I'm carrying your friend (and you too) to God in prayer and in my heart.

I talked with my friend today. They were going to have her start Radiation tomorrow but I guess only because of her cough that has been there for awhile. She found some sort of cough syrup that's helping so they decided to wait till next Wednesday and sit up the IV thing I guess. So instead of doing the radiation first they're going to do the Chemo. I really am not sure about all of this.

She didn't go for a second opinion and it is lung cancer. She had the biopsy for the thing in her breast. I'm not sure if it's a lump or calcium deposit. She's told me it's the later according to her Dr.

I would think they'd be in a bit more of a hurry but the Dr. seems to be taking his time. I just hope they know what they are doing. It's driving me nutty at times. I worry for her.

Sandpiper, since they are doing the chemo instead, does this mean they feel the need for stronger treatment? God love her, I'm so sorry! I feel for her having witnessed my Mom go through the chemo and radiation.

I just offered a prayer for her and hope you'll keep us posted on her progress. God's speed on her recovery.

Dear Sandpiper: I am sorry about your friend, but will include her in my prayer list.

It's an ordeal for anyone to deal with this, but I pray God strengthens her and her loved ones, so she can withstand tx.
