If you girls could all pull together and put some prayers towards Hawaii today, it would be appreciated.

There's a hurricane that should strike the Big Island later today. They are expecting 10-15" of rain and winds up to 75mph. The eye of the hurricane will be east of the island, but they are going to suffer some flooding and wind damage.

My husband is there now on business, ironically as well as some of my business clients - both within a few miles of each other, and only about 1/4 mile from the shoreline.

I know we also have a couple of our BWS friends in Hawaii, and I wish them safety.

Thanks Ladies!
Kathy

My prayers are with all the Hawaiians and Hawaii's visitors. I am sorry to hear this is touching you so closely, Kathy. A special prayer for your husband and your clients. And another one just for our BWS sisters.

Oh yes, let's all pray for our sisters in Hawaii and for Kathy's hubby along with the rest of the clients. May God hold them close as the storm moves through.

Kathy, keep us posted!

Has anyone heard from Cindy?

Thank you, Ladies!

It's about 10:00 on Tues night in Hawaii, or 4:00 in the morn on Wed Eastern time.

So far, the Big Island has been spared a direct hit, but the hurricane is bringing that island alot of high winds and rain.
Hawaii is not totally safe yet, as Flossie is going west and is about 170 miles south of Honolulu the capital, but once in a while the hurricanes turn north.
It did that in 1992 (Hurricane Iniki) and cost billions in damage to Kauai as well as some deaths.

Thank you again, Ladies! ((((((((HUGS)))))))))

Cindy

From the news:

SOUTH POINT, Hawaii - Flossie was downgraded from a hurricane to a tropical storm hours after sideswiping Hawaii's Big Island, turning its seas into roiling giant surf and soaking residents.

The Central Pacific Hurricane Center in Honolulu canceled a hurricane watch for the Big Island, although a tropical storm warning remained in effect Wednesday morning, meaning the island could experience winds of more than 39 mph.

Glad everyone is safe and sound. Keeping an eye on Dean now, looks like it's going to go west of Florida, at least that's the last report I heard, that could always change. We've seen that happen.

He gets back home Wednesday night. You know, he never even got a drop of rain from that hurricane. He is on the Big Island, but the storm hit the other side of the island and the mountains held it all back.

Thanks to everyone for your prayers!
