This is the easiest & best tasting beef stew recipe! You can bake it in the oven or cook it in the crock-pot.

Country Beef Stew

2 Lbs prepared beef stew meat, or 1 round steak, cut into bit-size pieces.
3 red or yukon gold potatoes, peeled and quartered
3 carrots, peeled; cut into 1-inch pieces
2 ribs celery, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 small onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups organic beef broth
5 tablespoons Kraft minute tapioca(the kind in the red box)
1 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon thyme
¼ teaspoon marjoram
1 bay leaf

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a large, heavy roasting pan, or in a crock pot, combine all the prepared ingredients. Cover pan with foil. Bake for 4 hours. DO NOT STIR while baking/cooking the beef stew. Serve with biscuits or rolls.

How timely! I'm making stew tonight. I'll try this recipe.

Sounds delish! I've never used tapioca in stew before though.

I have everything but the tapioca. It looks delish. My MIL used tapioca in her stew. Does that thicken it a bit?
