I got a Showtime rotisserie from Santa this year. Anyone else have one? Anyone have any good recipes for rubs or marinades that I can use with it? Any tips or tricks to share?

I have the Ron Popeil rotisserie. It works wonderfully, fast, easy and all that nasty fat drips away. I use alot of Terriyaki in my rubs and of course lemon butter on fish, lobster etc. I like alot of the store brand ones. Kinkoman has some excellent rubs. I don't use any salt so buy all the salt free seasonings from Mrs. Dash and use all of them on different meats and roast potatoes or vegetables....

Chatty, how did I know you would respond to this post?

I don't have ne but I love buying them at Sam's Club. They are the best! Anyone had their chickens? A friend clued me in on them and now I buy one every time I shop there. They are so tasty and moist.

I tried my rotisserie last night. OMG!!!! It's great!

Bluebird, I know why your friend sounds like an infomercial. The chicken was the best I've ever made! I rubbed it with olive oil and then sprinkled a little garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper.

Dotsie, it was better than the ones I've bought (never tired Sam's though) because it wasn't that salty.

Thank you for the tips Chatty. I'm going to try the teriaki next time. Showtime is made by Ron Popiel so I guess we have the same one. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. Mine came from BJ's.

I'm planning to use it again tonight making shish-ka-bobs!

The only problem I encountered was that because I was using it for the first time, the machine gave off a nasty smell. (they said it would) I hope that doesn't happen again tonight.

That smell goes away after the first or second time you use it. I love the basket thingy where I roast my Lobster tails, make juicy burgers and shark fish filets. You can do just about anything in it. Glad you liked yours its not to easy to clean but worth the trouble. Wait until you make a small turkey or a large roast. Use the string and tie it up....

Thanks Chatty!
The smell did go away and the ka-bobs were great. I love this stupid thing...LOL
I can't wait to try the basket.
The clean up wasn't too bad. I used their suggestion of placing aluminum foil behind the heating element and in the bottom of the drip pan, worked like a charm!
