This is one of those oh so easy dishes and the taste is scrumptous.

CABBAGE AND NOODLES

1 medium cabbage, shredded
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 sticks of butter
1 bag of flat noodles
1/2 cup bacon pieces or bits ***(optional)

1)Cook noodles as directed on package, set aside.
2)fry the bacon bits and set aside.
3)Melt all the butter in the same large fry pan.
3)Add onions and cabbage to fry pan and cover, cooking over medium heat, stirring often.
4)Add the bacon bits ***(optional)

This dish is excellent with pork or fish. My boys use to ask for the left overs the next morning for breakfast reheated. [Big Grin]

Better yet, leave the fish and gimmee the cabbage and noodles. And people ask what a vegetarian can eat.

I'm going with wild cod. Newfoundlanders are fond of cabbage, one of the things that grows well in our soil.I tried TVC's cucumber salad last night. Yummy!

I did TVC's cucumber salad too a while back. Deelish. I added onion and tomatoes to it and let it all "sit" for a while in the frig...yummmy!
