I have a story posted at the Dabbling Mum website!
Joyce's Pie Crust is a personal essay about baking with my Mom and includes the recipe for the crust. I've included the web address, if anyone would like to check it out.

What a GREAT story (and recipe!)....my Mom absolutely HATED baking - which worked out just fine I guess because my Dad didn't like desserts so we grew up without them. Of course I've made up for that by being an absolutely "dessert freak" these days, but I will try this crust recipe of yours on my next pie for sure!

Again - cute article and great (easy) recipe! [Big Grin]

tvc, I'm laughing out loud. You have to tell her one day. I think that owuld be a riot.

I use Pillsbury and lately I've even used the store brand.

Have you noticed Pillsbury now comes rolled? Yup, I used them for my pumpkin pies at Thanksgiving!

A very cute story. Lord, if our Mother's only knew ALL of the stuff we've kept from them, eh?

Very well done! I enjoyed the read tremendously.

Robin, you stinker you! lol! Enjoyed that very much. And the pie crust recipe looks like a good one, too. I've never done the paste thing. I have to admit - those roll-out crusts are too easy.

Thanks for the link and congratulations on the publication!

great story [Smile] you almost inspired me to try my hand at pie crust again (notice I said "almost" [Smile] )

When I was first married, I always made my own pie crust and didn't do too bad a job at it. Then we bought our house and moved in, and my pie crusts were just flops....every time...and then my aunt divulged her secret, frozen pie crust in the box!!! I've been using it ever since.

I've always blamed this house on my inability to make a crust from scratch [Razz]

Theres an old joke that the priest says; "if you look at that naked lady you'll go blind," and a little man in the back row stands and says; "I'll risk one eye." Thats how I feel about making homemade, from scratch pie crust but the recipe sounds so good, [Big Grin] "I'll risk a try!" [Wink]
