I am doing a personal interview with Sheri McConnell tomorrow. She is the founder of the National Association of Women Writers. I am going to pick her brain about getting published; all the different ways and how they compare.

Do you have any questions you'd like me to ask her?

Is it ever possible to send a manuscript or query directly to a major publisher, or do they only work though agents?

Most BIG publishers work through agents. They may not even advertise it that way, but to get your mannie in the door, you really need an agent.

If you check out a particular publisher's Web site, they usually give very detailed info about WHAT and HOW they accept mannie's and also the time of year; or EVEN if they DO accept them. Zat help?

Thanky Queen. I still need to finish my book, but I'm thinking ahead. Wanna know what dreams to schedule

Wow Dotsie, that should be some interesting interview.
I guess I'd ask if it is ever possible to get a self published book or an ebook, published by one of the big houses afterwards.
