Run800mgrl, First of all, welcome to Boomer Women! I know that there is at least one woman here who suffers from Fibromyalgia, but I can't remember who it is. Sometimes it takes awhile for some of the women to get on-line here (jobs, families, etc), so don't give up on getting a response here, okay? Meanwhile I'll hunt around some of the old posts and see if I can find who it was that recently posted about fibromyalgia.
Browse around and see what else is going on here. It's a great bunch of caring women, so enjoy being here with us! [ September 23, 2005, 11:54 AM: Message edited by: Eagle Heart ]

I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, an abnormal muscle and nerve biopsy with damage (which they cannot figure out the cause), and more I will not get into.
It is better for some and worse on some. Some meds help while some do not. All they do for me, besides give me suppliments and monitor my diet, is treat symptoms. Some go into remission forever or for a while. In 20 years, I have had 2 good days. LOL
My symptoms started right after I woke from a surgery! WHAM! I had never felt this way after a surgery in my life. It was horrid right after the surgery, and has excalated from there, to the point of being disabled.

Hi Junebug,
Just sitting here being my normal nosey self and clicked on your profile. Saw the homepage and checked it out.
Really beautiful...
Never really knew anyone with fibromyalgia, until I meet my husband's uncle two years ago. He also is in near constant pain. Now, he carries around some kind of devise that sends electrical pulses into his body. He has such warmth radiating from his body. Told him he could heat a small room all by himself. Know he has tried all kinds of alternative therapies, hypnosis, acupressure, chiropractors, even Reiki.
Sorry, to hear of the pain you are now facing. With surgery we expect to come back feeling better not worse. Hope and pray that each passing day brings you healing.
Welcome to the site.
