Non-smoking, non-overweight and healthy 50 yr-old +++ perimenopausal [Eek!] . Went crazy with bleeding symptoms for approximately two years. [Mad] Suffered 3 bouts of severe anemia - lowest Hgb 7). I am now trying low-dose BCP's. So far, working wonderful! I feel human again, [Big Grin] and better therapy for me then HRT, surgery or other options I have been bombarded with.
Any thoughts/imput! [Razz]

Hi Satcom2. Welcome. Sounds like you are on the right track assuming the bleeding has stopped or lessened. Some women have had good results from herbals, but sounds like you may needs medical follow up.

Have you had other symptoms? Keep us posted.

Follow Up: I will be taking my last pill tomorrow. [Cool] For the first month in two years, I have not suffered with perimenopausal bleeding. [Big Grin] I am under PA-C's care. [Embarrassed] Ultrasound diagnosed cysts/fibroids are being monitored. Endo-biopsy and PAP ruled out CA. Since I am fifty, [Big Grin] I am also having my FSH monitored so I can switch to HRT when I begin menopause. Low-dose birth control pills are an alternative for those who do not wish to have female surgery. [Frown] Unfortunately this method d/n pay for physicians annual dues at the local country club, thus for less-informed " "healthy" ", "non-smoking" consumers not expressed as an option. [Mad]
