Here's a suggestion...

Use NeNe and your name or nickname. Kinda like having your cake and eating it too? This would get you your wish for NeNe plus a bit of tradition sprinkled in - your first name. NeNe DJ?(don't know your real name.)

I am Nanny Ang(my nickname) then there's Nanny Michelle. Some kids have extra grand-parents as you said...How lucky they are!!!

My youngest daughter presented me with my first grandchild when I was barely forty. I was adamant that I not be called grandma.
I explored other names, but never came up with anything specific. My daughter said, "Face it Mom, you're gonna be a Grandma. Get over it." But I was still opposed.
Well, she went into labor. I was in the delivery room when the baby was born and immediately I was filled with the most overwhelming love.
After my daughter and her husband finished cuddling him, she handed him to me. My first words to him were, "Come to Grandma."
I've been Grandma ever since. The kids call me Grandma Janis if they have to distinguish me from the other grandmas, but I'm ""Grandma"" and I love every moment of it.

smile, I have a friend who swears her sons are her brothers. She's young at heart and looks great. It's become a big joke with all her friends. Kids, what kids? Grandchildren? What grandchildren?

I love it when my grandchildren are mistaken for my children, but I figure it's mostly just strangers trying to flatter me. It's weird, but my daughter loves being mistaken for my sister and never rats on me. Problem is, it doesn't happen enough to suit me.

When I'm out with the grandkids if someone mistakes them for my kids they always screw up my whole young fantasy by yelling loudly something along the lines of "GRANDMA I gotta' pee pee!!" or something equally embarrassing. So much for being a sweet young thing.

However, I love being a grandma so much, I would let them call me about anything they want.
Being a grandma is the BEST!

Amen Chatty. My grandma was OLD. Not us. Right?

Chatty I know your secret though. It's all that wonderful food you make. I'm pretty sure those cheesy grapes take a couple years off my age every time I have them -- which is almost every day btw. YUM

Congratulations on the newest grand-baby. Maybe we should have a grandbaby picture page?

It would be fun to see all the babies and older grandchildren.

To date, I only have grand-kitties. No human babies in site, yet.

Chatty, I have an aunt who is still living and she's 93. I've told her that when I look at pictures of her from the 60's she looked older then. Isn't that wild. I think it was the way they dressed.

Women in their 50's wore house-dresses back then. That alone aged them!

You're not going to see us boomers wearing house- dresses... ever! Elastic waists are bad enough!
