Has anyone seen this new animated movie, Cars, with their kids or grandkids? My husband and I are going tonight with our 3 youngest and our grandson (it's his first movie!!). I am so excited. We saw a show about it a few weeks ago and it has the voices of Bonnie Hunt (LOVE her!), Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy (I don't care who ya are, he's funny...)and Paul Newman. It also has music by Rascal Flatts (be still my heart), John Mayer and Brad Paisley( such a sweetie). I'll let you all know tomorrow what I thought of it... Whaddya mean, you don't care what I think?? [Roll Eyes]

Well we did take the kids to see this movie and I loved it!! It was a sweet story, the music was good and the animation was incredible. It's such a pleaseure to see a movie with the kids that you don't have to worry about covering their eyes (or you own!). I will definitely buy this on DVD when it comes out.

That's good to hear, Bluebird. I don't have any little ones in my life right now, but sometimes I wonder about some of the movies made for kids - there is so much rudeness in so many of them that they will start to think it's okay to behave that way.

Is this a Disney movie, or Pixar, or?

It's Pixar. I like their movies because they appeal to kids but they are not obnoxious. The humor is usually clever enough for the adults but clean enough for the kiddies. I've noticed alot of their story lines teach humility and true friendship.

I'm waiting for The Devil Wears Prada to be released. Read the book and loved it! Saw the trailer on Cars and it looked so cute.

Saw the commercial for The Devil wears Prada, it looks funny. I usually don't like Meryl Streep. People say she's such a great actress but I honestly think she's better in comedy.

Haven't seen the Cars yet. I'm holding out for Over the Hedge. Tonight I watched LAST HOLIDAY with Queen Latifa...it was great! Very well done, no profanity, nothing vulgar, just a really good movie. I recommend it.

JJ, I second that. It was a movie I didn't think I would be interested in, but then when I went to DC a few weeks back they showed it on the plane. The movie was about a third of the way through when the sound system went out! One of the first things I did when I got home was to rent that movie and finish watching it.

I just saw Breakup with Jennifer Anniston yesterday. It was fair - but you can wait until it comes out on DVD to see it.

I wanted to see Over the Hedge, but my friend wasn't interested in a "kids" movie. I love those kinds of kids movies where there are so many double entendres for us adults!

I heard that Breakup was a sleeper. Said the guy was actually better than Jennifer. I thought I'd just wait till it came out on rentals.

I LOVE the kids shows. I have them all, just about. I watch Ice Age and Shrek, Shrek2 over and over. I saw Ice Age2 and it was cute, but not as good as the first one. I still like it though. I may go and see OTH today.
