Thank you for the advice Jawjaw.
It's funny but I can't even bring myself to do any revision work that I've needed to do since before all this came up.
I'm going to try some of these suggestions today and give it my best shot.
I won't leave you all hanging on the animal thing though, I'd be a cat. >^..^< I love cats for their independence, intelligence and style. They are both delicate and strong at the same time. They can be aloof while still getting under your skin, sneaky with an "I don't care" attitude if they get caught in the act.
And [Smile] hey Jawjaw, I think your sneaky plan is working too! [Smile] Thank you!

Which animal would you be?

Robin, I'm with chick on this one. I think you should write about your loss, her illness, the fact that she was so young, what to do now that you have her pet, etc. There's much to write about.

I'm praying you get some ink on the paper.

Congrats on the ciggies! You go girls! [Wink]

I have a diferent take on this non writing process. You have your sisters baby, her little love, her constant companion. Instead of what animal would you be, write for the animal you have. Write a letter to her missing mom asking all the questions she must have OR write to yourself asking you all the questions she must have, then answer these questions. Title it something like: WHY AM I HERE? or WHERE'S MY MOMMY? Opening ones heart sometimes opens ones mind as well..... [Smile]
