I do the same, Chatty, but I jazz mine up a bit more with chopped pecans, cinnamon and nutmeg... Usually leaving off the brown sugar...

I make lemon sweet potato casserole. (My kids have never had the marshmallow recipe and this is what's traditional to them): Cook sweet potatoes just like you would white potatoes, mash with butter and a little milk, add 2 egg yolks, and juice of an entire lemon -- at least 3 tablespoons.

Put in a casserole, cut up another lemon into slices and place on top with a few pats of butter. Bake about one-half hour until hot. I love these.

I'll bet it will taste yummy when you get it made, too!

I made some bean soup in the crock pot today, haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I can hardly wait!

I received the beans as a Christmas present from a friend of the family who always seems to know about good causes to support. (She probably listens to NPR more than I do... LOL!)

These beans came from a women's support group in Denver called the Women's Bean Project: Women's Bean Project

My little bag came with 10 kinds of beans in it, neatly sorted by type/color, a little packet of spices and a recipe. Very neat project!
