You girls are goooooood.
rub, after, glove, final
After I exercise, early each day, I reach for pain relief, lotion or spray, Sometimes I rub 'til, well enough to play. No need for a glove, hands do what I say. It's the final act, before I get to work, And it makes feel good, new, and pert!
wonder, wander, why, whimsy
I don't even ask or wonder why, When I get an urge to wander, bye, bye, Taken by whimsy I go for a hunt, Untethered and reckless, a bit flimsy and blunt, 'Tis fun to search over here, over there, In forests, in parks, in trees, everywhere. I look for hidden treasure and whatever I find, Satisfies the ego and pleasures the mind.

My hubby is hunky, funky and spunky; I'm much more clunky, though spunky when funky. Funny how two such diverse people decide to cherish the funkiest, clunkiest sides.
remember, fog, lighthouse, raft

words are funny don't you see phoneme changing one, two, three start with hunky as it be make it chunky, adding 'C' then switch 'H' for 'L' to see a new word made pronounced 'clunky' now for fun 'CL' bump please to make a new word put 'SP'
could leave it alone just as it is but more can be done in less than a whiz 'spunky' we have as you and I see we'll take it along and remove the 'SP' What should we put there in its place? an 'F,' you say? you make a good case the word we now have is the funniest yet 'funky, funky' yeppers, you bet!

remember, fog, lighthouse, raft
come through the hollows of my mind see me remember and help me to find calm, sanity, freedom the hopeful divine ~ please be my lighthouse in all of this fog I'm blinded by more than the thickening bog please hold my raw thoughts throughout the long slog ~ out of the darkness and into the light you've served as my raft on this muddy flight sure, I'm still sick, but now quite alright because you were there with me all through the night
(I know, lame! you can give it a go, using EH's words, of course... I'll add four new words, too.)
seed, soul, whisp, spun

Chatty your posts, and your poems have made me laugh more times this week. Really. And Jabber, I think you pick the most interesting words. They are a challenge..and like Eagle and Gims have said; I think that is harder than writing the poem. Come on poetry friends! Jabber, Gims , Mustang Gal, Eagle Heart, Chick, Chatty, Dancing Dolphin, JJ and meeee! I just felt like Santa calling his reindeer. Hee hee Let’s dash away, dash away all! And celebrate a poetry brawl!
Many a poetry site, I bet would turn green. These poems are like nothin’ they’ve ever seen!
So my dear literate poetry friends, Let’s eat chocolate till we get the bends!
We’ve earned it! You know it! It hasn’t been all easy. So we’ll add some champagne, before we get queasy.
Let’s break the record, and make this the longest thread This is the best brain jogging yet; it’s great for our heads.
So, hic…yum, yum, munch munch munch, Just wanna say; ya’ll the bestest sweetest bunch!( Oh and those empty spots in the box... the devil made me do it.)

seed, soul, whisp, spun The seed had been planted since birth In a whisp his soul she would eat What a beautiful web she had spun A beautiful web of deceit

doctor Paris chair wanted
I’m weary from traveling Europe, I’m glad to be home in my chair, I wanted to also see Paris But just couldn’t get myself there.
The doctor says that I should stay home, My knees and my brain need to rest The creaking old joints just won’t budge now, And the fog in my head’s quite a mess.
So here I shall sit and remember The sights and the sounds of those days In Rome and Madrid and Firenzi, Marrakech, Lisbon, Pompeii…
But as wondrous and all that it was, I have to affirm what’s been said, That there really is no place like home And I’m glad to be back in my bed!
cheesecake, chocolate, melting, glee

A week of rain - two days now... water steadily approaching our front door. Dish is out, which means no TV, so I'm reading off and on and spending my time on the computer - and loving it...
Ya'll don't mind me taking a crack at chick's words?... seems I butt in too much, hog the words, so to speak...
doctor Paris chair wanted
My doctor's name is Harris He came to me from Paris I wanted him to pluck some hair He told me, "sit down in this chair"
I did just that, no hesitating He knew right then I wasn't waiting To have the hair pulled from my ear There was so much I could not hear
His first try was kind of weird He tried to trim it like a beard It didn't work, he made that clear So he got a volunteer
Nurse Patool came to the room To sit quietly by a boom On the boom there was a chain And a claw hooked to a crane
With a flinch, I was to see Ol' Doc Harris on one knee He ducked the boom as it swung near Taking with it my whole dang ear
I've not seen Doc in many years I do not trust him with my ears The one I lost that dreadful day Is in my purse for sure to stay

cheesecake, chocolate, melting, glee
Is that a cheesecake calling to me? I promised myself I would not cheat
Is that chocolate laughing with glee? Edelweiss put it up to teasing me
Is that ice cream melting away? I watch it melting with great dismay
Is that pie taunting me, too? What's a fatty suppose to do
So many treats temptingly good I best ignore, as I know I should
