Great thread.

I've noticed how spoken words can occasionally be the greatest gift. Affirmation is so badly needed in our world. I love using my words to build others up, and I so appreciate it when others do the same for me.

Mama, I'm guessing this friend was a friend to both you and your hubby? What a lovely women. I'm still parying for you during this difficult week. Mama, hang in there.

LJ, it definitely sounds liek you got a winner this tiem around. Didn't you meet online? If so, which site?

Eagle, chatty has a way of reaching across the miles at such appropriate times. What a great story of love extended through a forum.

MA, I recall when you and your friend were going through so much. How is she doing these days?

chatty, your father must have been a wonderful man. What a pleasant surprise. Anyone who does the dirty work for a loved one is certainly showing love. Painting? Yuk. I have a hard enough time doing it for myself.

I posted in another forum about my son's surprise visit last weekend. I was touched. And I liked the way he got his brother to pick him up to pull off the surprise.

Hi Dotsie

Thank you...yes, she is a friend of both of us. She actually started as a "student" of my techie work and we involved into a coaching relationship and friendship. What was amazing to see was how much she had taken to heart our "lessons" and correspondance over the last 1.5 years.

When Gil chose to move ahead with divorce, she took one more shot, knowing it was a high probability that she would be shot down. I was in awe of her courage and her taking a stand for us a couple, for forgiveness and for choice.

I can't, and won't, take credit for the steps and courage she had AND knowing I made a difference in her life and taught her ways to cope with her own situation lightened my heart and my fears as I went through this week...my own version of "hell on earth".

I posted an update to another Forum...can't remember which one right now.

The short version? Prayer works miracles...he asked to talk and poured out his sadness and regret at hurting me and others so deeply.

So, one more step. And I'm exhausted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend who lost her Mother and husband within two weeks sold her house (before the credit crunch stopped all the sales here)She is a distance away but as close as ever.Helping with her Grandchildren and making her home as beautiful as the one she left.So we talk cushions and curtains and tears and losses.
My minister visited her and they hit it off.she reads our website. She misses the area but is brave and looks forward.
She helped at a school party recently where her training and expertise was welcomed...
I plan a stay during our Christmas holiday when my family will hold the fort here. She sleeps badly but her words are it makes her life longer. We will have a pyjama party.video chosen

I carry her in my heart.
Thank you for remembering.

what a lovelie topic stuff that upleifts gotta be a bit more prsiouse weather its personal to you or just you get to witness it.

iv one example of it i was bundkling out a shop arms full and anson droped a lettle tin box of cars and sholders and the bits kids value. he was upset and my hands were full but a women with two kids stopped and helped pick up the stuff and put it back into the tin box. Nuthing dramatic but for the look in her eyes that weer filled with love and kindness for a child slightlie flustered but unknowen to them.
thats lmost 8 yrs ago if not more and what i rember was how she looked at him. Some women are just natural careers and lovers or nurtureers of kids surlie she was one of them.
i didn't and couldn't speek to her i was so taken aback. It helped hm and lightened my day. Sometimes its not what we do but the intension behing whats done that makes the difrenses, it did on that day!

Hello You.
been a while

The intention.Yes I understand.
Last night on BBC Children in Need the PROCLAIMERS read testimonies from children who are part of a project for the children of drug dependant parents. Both men were moved..and I was really having to use my tissues..
then the houseparent/manager came on to speak. She was around 50 very dark hair blue eyes (Irish perhaps) lined around her eyes but the beauty when she spoke about her vocation shone like a beacon.
Did you watch...Celtic.

Maama, I read your update in the other forum. Good news.

Mountain, I'm guessing the move closer to her family has been a good one. A girlfriend pj party sounds grand.

Speaking of the intention behind the action... while visiting a loved one at an eldercare facility today, two young girls gently knocked on the door and handed me a little baggie with two home baked cookies. They went to every door and did the same thing. I know all they were trying to do was cheer up the residents with their sweet smiles and carefully packaged and tied bags of cookies. There are many young kids who are doing great deeds and rarely get recognition.

hay mountain good to see you still keepng the celtic end of things up.

I didnt get to see it, i don't get to watch normale tv much. I stuck to sci/fi channel when i do. The diffrnt regines also have diffrent sceduling so sometimes we have diffrent local prgrammes but you'd think pudslie would be national, eh!

funnie how eyes are always shining wen good intensions are beng done, shinning about best word i use to describe it too.

Dotsie its those wee sweetthings from some kids get so easilie overlooked amoungst the busie days but sometimes its those wee things that make it or life so worthwhile.
its easie to miss the good from or in kids amist this culutre of kids no good type of bashing thing.
