Chick, that's hilarious! I just might have to order a pair...they'd make quite a fashion statement in Cuba next spring!!!

Well, I tried the new eye shadows from Avon. Once DH saw my face, he said "What happened to your eyes??" He's never seen me w/make up. I'll try it a few times and see what others say.

What I DON'T like is the fact that the powder irritates my eyes. My sis did tell me there's some stuff you use to keep the shadow on. Back to the store I go!

Thankfully, Avon takes anything back...which is why I buy from them.

Di, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use anything on your eyes that irritates them, this can cause so many dangerous conditions. They have eyeshadows that are irritant free, hypo-nonalergic. Look for these instead. Also put it on softly, barely visible. Too dark is cheap and hard looking. I think Dancer would agree with this advice.

colors, colors, colors... I've known mine forever, since I'm an artist who uses color constantly. Someone else's chart training can't equal a good eye, ever. However, if you don't have a totally objective eye, then the charts can be beneficial.

The main change as I've aged? -- I no longer live in the sun the way I used to, which means that certain colors which I could wear only with a good tan, are out now.

Meredith, you're an orange person too, aren't you? Are you snapping up any of the orange goodies out there these days? We have to stockpile for the years when there's nothing but hunter greens and greys.

LOL, I so agree! Hunter green and gray ... are fine for people with other colorings and other personalities.

Speaking of orange -- if you mixed equal amounts of bright pure orange and pure white, that is the color of my walls. 20' ceiling in the living room, and all those walls in orange creamsicle. I love surrounding myself in happy colors.

Orange creamsicles were my favorite! My bedroom walls are boysenberry sorbet. Love those ice cream colors.

We're planning to repaint the bathroom in pistachio mint green...though now I secretly wonder if I could switch to creamsicle orange...sounds so yummy. What an uplifting colour to wake up to in the mornings!
