dotsie, I can only guess.
Mother was agitated Friday around 2:00 p.m. (because of an unwelcome visitor). They gave her the 4:00 o'clock meds. This would have been 2 hours after her 12:00 o'clocks. That adds up to 7 mind altering meds in a two hour period. She was still agitated the next day, so they had to repeat the med administration.
My summation would be that the meds wore off by the time she was due them @ 4:00.
However, I spoke with her therapist today about it, and she thinks it was the opposite. She thinks it was because Mother had a concentrated amount in her system, which kept her brain firing, even as late as 7:00 p.m. Saturdy evening. I can't wrap my brain around this idea, but she's the professional. I intend to ask her psychiatrist.

She was back to using her spotted aphasic jargon today (not real bad), but she was still alert and conversational. It was a good day.
