The police have had the phone call/s traced but I haven't heard anything yet. I'm steaming.

I am learning to read all the headers of an e-mail and how to trace it back to it's origin. Last week I didn't know the WORD header. I'm doing this with a little help from my friends I might add. Thank you.

I am getting very close to proof, but I am not going to jump the gun until I am 100% sure. The phone calls have stopped for now anyway.

The police, well, I'll do the legwork and they can serve the culprit.

There's more that I don't want to divulge right now, but I'll keep you posted. I don't see it as a safety issue just yet.

Chick, as traumatic as it was, it was 30+ years ago and I can't bring it all back in what's left of my memory (LOL). Clearly remember the cops reply though because that stunned me.

If you have AOL - you can check the ISP by clicking on "details" -- which is right under the SUBJECT:, TO:, FROM: on the top of your email.

Everytime I get a spoof email from eBay or PayPal (and yes, I get a lot of them) I copy paste that info and send it on to the eBay and PayPal "police".

If you CAN copy this - do that and paste it in a "reply" email (with nothing else) and send it back to the person -- they'll get the hint that you're a "savy" internet person and hopefully they'll move on
