Remember them? Denny Doherty passed away today. Michelle Phillips is the lone survivor of a group I have loved listening to when I was growing up...pre-teens. Memories. Lots of them. Here are a few links to the songs by them.

Sometimes when I listen to some of the oldies, California Dreamin being one of them, I get this discomforting nag in my stomach. Music Box Dancer is an instrumental that tugs, too. Reminds me of when I was a young mom and my oldest was in ballet classes. I sometimes get melancholy listening to the songs of my past. Oh woe is it when the infomercials come on, offering songs of the 50s, 60s and 70s. It takes a good movie or some awful new reports to bring me back to center.
