I spent most of yesterday at Chuck-E Cheese (or grandparents HELL) attending my grandbeauties 5th b/day party. I expected to be a raving maniac when I left and full of loathing for children of all ages.

NOT.

I had a ball. It was great fun watching my two grandchildren play all of the games, squeal with delight when Chuck-E Cheese himself came out and gave the birthday girl a crown, and watching them play with all of the other children there, unconditionally...no tugging, no scraping, no harsh words...just play. There's a great lesson in there somewhere.

My son surprised me with his patience and his spirit of joining in with it all. What a beautiful thing to watch!

I have a new respect for Chuck-E Cheese. Do I want to go there again? Not any time soon...LOL! It WAS noisy, it WAS crowded, but it WAS worth every single Hallmark moment.

Oh my, I remember those days. How much money did you throw away in there? "One more game, please. One more token." So they can win a stuffed aminal that costs 20 cents with the tokens that cost you $40.00.

All I have to do is be still and I can hear that place rocking and shaking from 20 years ago.

Yes she does...and unfortunately, she is just as wicked as I am. Maybe that's why I'm so crazy about her? LOL!

The youngest is coming into her own. I just love watching her personality develop. She's a stinker and not afraid of any blessed thing. NOTHING. She will try anything and hates wearing clothes. So we have to watch her constantly to make sure she doesn't strip at Wal-mart or some other crowded place. That girl! But she loves her grandmaw and they both have me wrapped!

As for C.Cheese, we take the grands just when it opens in the morning. Less of a crowd and still tons of fun for us.

Boy are they growing. They're adorable. And yes, what fun to have a mini JJ. She has quite a reputation to live up to. Is she funny?

I don't have grands, and won't for who knows how long(which is fine with me) but I sure love hearing about all of you and your grands. The special bond sounds magnificent.
