EVERYDAY

Everyday is Memorial Day,
It isn't just one day a year.
If loved-ones depart, a sensitive heart,
Cherishes memories its holding so near.

Gratitude and respect, faith and belief,
Work at replacing the gloom and the grief.
Over and over, again and again,
Warm reflections appear, as prayers end in Amen.

Rows and rows, flag-draped coffins they see,
Reminding society, "Freedom" isn't free,
The cost is clear and oh so dear,
Soldiers' pay with their lives, year after year.

Sacrifical lambs, are giving their all,
Responding to one, of God's mightiest call,
Leaving at home, folks' who'll continually pray,
For their sons and daughters, day after day.
