This year the weather was the pits,
gave people all around the US of A fits.

Cold in the southern states and they even saw snow,
climates usually wintery saw not much more than winds blow.

Here in the desert no one was wearing swimsuits,
in fact if it rained any harder they'd be wearing hip-boots.

But soon all will change, no snow a-top the mountain range,
frying eggs on HOT blacktop, is a summer sport though strange.

I have lived in the Midwest, back East and out West,
Never made it down south yet, want to go to feel Southern lifes zest.

I would happily sell my home and buy a medium size RV,
tour all of these United States. just me, and sweet Sassy...
