I just heard on a meditation CD,
How to relate to my one and only body.

I got to be good to it, it’s all I have,
Made with love from my dear mom and dad.

I’ll start with my feet, and the weight they carry,
It’s all the same, whether my legs are shaved or hairy.

Oh my poor knees, supporting heavy thighs and hips,
Got to throw out all those fatty potatoe chips.

Moving right along to my lower back and spine,
Next time I know I’ll think about what I dine.

Up up to my neck with that wobbly double chin,
I bet it would go away, if I were thin.

Oh dear body, you have been so good to me
Carrying me everywhere, with you I was free.

But I’ve been neglecting you way to much,
You have become too big and mushy to the touch.

I need to care and love you like a baby,
Make sure your are nurtured; not fed like crazy.

I need your support many more years,
Not sit in a wheelchair and shed sorry tears.

Today I join Chatty in the losing weight diet
We will make it we will do it! Food? We’ll defy it!
