tulips, earth, squirrel, path

Today in our front yard
We were building a path
Winding through gardens
Of tulips and daffs.
While digging around
In the earth and the grass,
We found all the peanuts
The squirrels had amassed.
We dug them all up,
Though the worms gave a tug
Trying to keep them,
I often cried “ugh!”
Slowly but surely
We built us a wall
A new home for violets,
Roses and all.

new words: worms, squirm, can't, help

(Jabber, I just noticed I used the old words!)
