... and EW, your poem was written about me. So often, I go looking for my glasses and they are on my head, as the common joke goes... also, sometimes, I'll reach up to adjust them at the bridge AND I don't even have them on. Think it's time for lasik?

Love it, JJ... how apropos!

acorn, snow, monkey, cheese

I went to the local zoo
Just the other day
Found a strange monkey
Playing with some clay

But, after getting closer
And getting on my knees
I put my face up to the glass
Then thought it might be cheese

When the monkey saw my face
He dropped the odd Play-Doh
Then a thought came to me
The stuff must be old snow

It didn't melt upon the ground
I watched it for awhile
Besides it was a puky brown
Which made me think of bile

Yes, I came to know by then
The stuff, a ball of goo,
Was stepped upon by the monk
To expose the final clue

Within the flattened gooey mess
An acorn sat so proud
The monkey simply wanted
To get the acorn out

Chance had made a crooked deal
The seed had landed so
To be in Monkey's dinner meal
Then in his weird Play-Doh

(this comes from me actually seeing an ape playing with a mess he made)

new words:
blaze, heart, soft, fell

ooops... I was working on mine when jabber posted, so we'll go back to her words:
fluffy, pine, field, wine
