Yesterday i decided to goof off and maybe look for a part time job on my outing. I accidently(?) drove past the place that I was interested in applying to and thought I would check it out on my way back. I was on my way to the Salvation Army to buy what else, books. I almost changed my mind about going there,too. It was just one of my get in the car and see where it takes me days.

When I was going in to the Salvation Army store, I noticed a "Hiring" sign in the window. I made out the application and have an interview at 10 this morning.

I am excited about working there as it is part time, totally stress free and I will meet a lot of nice people for sure. They want a cashier( Yes, I can make change ) and I think this would be exactly what I need right now.

Wish me luck and say a little prayer that my interview goes well.

I will post as soon as I get back.
Now...what to wear?

Good for you, Chick! Another one of those "God Things?" I'm sure they'll love you and be thrilled to have you work there. I would.

Go early Chick and buy something to wear...Got my fingers crossed!

I love going thru the treasures they have there. I have even found an antique a time or two at the local ones here.

FANTASTIC AND HOORAH!!!! What a hoot to work somewwhere where its so laid back and you have first crack at the donated items. I visit the one here often just to brouse around lots of the time, its fun. Good luck and personally I think they are lucky to have you...

Thank you for all your encouraging posts. My first day was simply wonderful. My co-workers are very friendly and have a team like attitude. I felt like I was shopping as I straightened out the books or fixed clothes on hangers.

I thought about you guys more than once during the day. I realized how important you all are to me when it comes to sharing my little everyday experiences. Aren't we a great circle of friends?
