Trust in the Wind, my latest novel just released last month, is number 7 on Fictionwise's Best Selling list

http://www.fictionwise.com/topstories.htm

TRUST IN THE WIND Blurb:
When pregnant teen Joanne chooses single motherhood, she loses everything, including her family. Four years later, she's fiercely independent, trusts no one and is barely keeping her head above water. Roy is a Hillsborough County Sheriff, and a widower who lost his wife and child during a burglary gone terribly wrong. Six years later, he still refuses to love for fear of losing it again. Together, these two just might get a second chance to learn about trust and love. When you can't count on people, Trust in the Wind.

Well, it peaked at #7, and is slowly going down the list now, but it's still on the best selling list. I'm very proud of it.

thanks for all your congrats. They mean so much to me, coming from all of you, my boomer friends.

Well, it just keeps getting better

http://ebooks.fictionwise.com/topstories.htm

Now, Trust in the Wind is still on the Best Selling list, it's also on the Highest Rated ebooks list as well.

I can't believe how well this book is doing.

I've finished a romantic suspense, and I finished the first draft on a dramatic women's fiction. Now, I'm taking a few weeks off while I let the draft sit before I go back and edit it.

I'm just getting my one and only book edited. I've been thinking if it should be published, I wonder myself if I ever would write another book. I'm so amazed how authors always have new ideas to write about. At this point I don't have a clue what my next book would be about. Is it a secret, or would you reveal how you get your ideas?

I get my ideas from all kinds of places. Just keep your eyes and ear open. I clip newspaper articles and keep them in a binder for ideas. I look at magazine articles, and sometimes get an idea for something I've read.

I remember my dreams and use them as a basis for books. TRUST IN THE WIND was an actual dream I had.

People watching is a good way to get ideas as well.

Listening to music and listening to the lyrics are good places to get ideas. Looking at pictures or paintings, and trying to make up a story about what you see, or maybe what you don't see.

Other people have great stories to tell about what happened to them, or their family members, or whoever. You never know what kind of crazy, unique, or bizarre thing someone is going to say.

Anyway, those are some places to get ideas. <GRIN>

Vicki, I brought this back up because I just started reading your book and it's amazing! My life is very hectic right now and I'm not able to just sit and read for any great length of time these days, but everytime I do pick your book up to read a bit more, it's impossible to put it down! And I'm constantly thinking about it, aching to get back to it, but having to "postpone the pleasure" because I don't want to keep reading it in bits and pieces, I want to wait until I have a good chunk of time to savor it. Thank you! It's deliciously awesome and I'm looking forward to immersing myself in it as soon as possible!
