I don't know about you, but my attention to decorating goes outside this time of year. I'd much rather garden than paint or redecorate in the spring.

Me too! I just bought a table for my patio. I already had black bistro chairs and decided the practical thing to do would be just get a table and use the chairs I already have. The table is a white scrolly (is that a word?) iron and I think it will look good together. I don't like things to be real matchy anyway. Now I'm obsessed with finding a reasonalbly priced umbrella that I like. I've also been putting down mulch and planting a few flowers.

I'm taking a week off in May to finish. I want to get it all done before it gets too hot. Maybe I'll get to enjoy this summer instead of working all the time.

Daisy, I can see you sitting in the bistro chair with your feet up enjoying your new patio charm. Sounds neat.

We had all our mulching done today. Everything looks nice and neat. Our home is at the end of a block and we have no privacy. Today we had a hedge of cherry laurel planted along the edge of our driveway so we no longer feel as though we are on display when the neighbors walk by. We're looking forward to enjoying the privacy.

What are you yards like?

My yard is getting there. We have one more planting area to finish building and planting and we put down grass seed on half of the front lawn this weekend so once that kicks off things will be looking alot greener around here.
We're waiting for some water pipe work to be completed before we seed the other side.
I got my tomato and pepper plants and some other vegetable seeds in this weekend too!
Daisy, your Bistro set sounds lovely! You are going to enjoy that all summer.
Dotsie, is that a flowering hedge? It sounds nice.

My yard is what is known out here in the West as 'desert motiff' which means no grass just gravel and of course palm trees and I do have 3 gorgeous oleander bushes that were 15 feet high and are now cut down to only about 4 feet. They are thick with green leaves and soon will have hundreds of red, pink and white blossoms. I have gone for the less is better look this year...Oh and my bird baths and feeders are all filled and in place.

My table was delivered today and I love it! It looks great with the black chairs. I'm having my son and family over for dinner on Sunday and hopefully, we'll be able to eat outdoors.

I may just put it in my kitchen in the fall. My kitchen is red, black and white with stainless steel appliances. The white table would give it an extra punch. I'm always designing.........I missed my calling, I think.

I wish I could have all you ladies over for an afternoon tea. We could wear hats and have a so very civilized afternoon tasting exotic desserts, drinking tea or your favorite wine.

Every year when it's cold and everything outside is dead I forget how much I love my yard. We have over a hundred trees and they are all greening up. We have shade grass and it is wonderfully green. I'm planting flowers and the bulbs are blooming and I love my yard.

And everyone's yard sounds so great. I just love spring.

THis morning I was actually awaken by the singing of a couple dozen birds enjoying the bird bath and the bird feeders. Thats when I know summer is here when my wonderful little feathered friends return....what a delightful sound to wake up to.

chatty, we have lots of morning doves near our home. Waking up to them is so peaceful. Hearing them is a great way to start the day.
