That's too funny with sisters with the same birth year! Unless of course they are twins. I think you should come clean with you DL expires because I lost my birth certificate and in this day and age if you don't have proper ID the whole world freaks out as if you have some kind of identity crisis due to identiy fraud even if you know who you are they do not take your word for it! You need proper paper to prove your own self is yourself!

Thanks for the birthday greetings...yes, we live in the same town but are still working thru some issues...and I am confident we will get thru them....Old memories from childhood keeps rearing its ugly head but we are learning to accept and move forward....just baby steps right now...
I know what you mean though about living far away from family....my daughter lives 3 hours away and my son still lives in New Jersey....I am one of 6 children, 2 are now in a celestial place...(both brothers)4 are still here on earth....I have 2 sisters and 1 brother....and I just have found one of my nieces who I have not seen in almost 34 years!!! but we are back to communicating.....YIPPEE!!!!
Since I was the youngest, I used to think of her as my little sister....the one I never had...
She was and still is very dear to me...and my heart is so full of love for her.....

KC, this is soo weird. We have another new member named Sandi who lives in Jupiter FL too, and she says she recently found a long lost niece! She also wrote about the loss of her brothers in the "Loss" forum. Is this a coincidence? If it's any consolation, my family and I have been able to reconcile some ugly issues from our past and we have become closer in our mature years. I hope your birthday is special all day long! KC, family spread throughout the nation/country is a growing issue for baby boomer women. We are raising our children to be independent and it's working. Unfortunately, someitmes it means being separated. Kinda sad, huh?

I know, Sandi. I have considered meds for my lack of focus. However, I DID finish college twice and finish a book. So my lack of focus is more about discipline in my case or lack of discipline. Also, I don't have any excuses, like frequent interruptions that prevent me from keeping on task. However, I do tend to turn on the stove to start cooking something, and walk away. Or, I'll do something like make coffee, except that I'll put the water in and no coffee, or I'll put the coffee in and no water!

Hi all, I guess we better not monopolize the page. No, Sandi, my lack of focus in not like yours. I don't have anywhere near the number of interruptions you have. Beginning Monday I will be going on a strict schedule of writing 5 hours a day. Like with writing TEARS, I will disengage the door bell and not answer the phone so I can focus. 13th May 1956. Had a hysterectomy 8 days before my 50th birthday. Some say it was a bum deal to have on a milestone birthday. I don't think so. Surgery went well, recovery is progressive, children and grandchildren are fine, great network of support at Church, home and work...I count my blessings. God is good!
