It has to hit it exactly perfect or it doesn't work. I'm so frustrated I could scream. SCREAM! It's all over the place except for where you want it to be. I even tried using my mouse pad and that didn't work. I guess I'm gonna be making a trip to Best Buy. Grrrr.....

Go to setup, options or controls and click it to see if you can set the "dithering" rate. Sometimes that will stop the wild mouse from running around on the screen. However homicide (or mouseicide) should always be an option. smile

BTW, sometimes mice go crazy when they're dirty...check the bottom and see if the ball underneath is rolling correctly (do wireless mice have balls?) If there is a ball and it's not rolling around freely, it might be dirty and needs cleaning.

It's brand new so can't be dirty or have weak batteries. I just went to Best Buy and got another one...the old fashion kind with a wire. I'll give the dead mouse to my husband and let him figure it out.
