Update on the neighbor's kid>>>>

At the end of July while our family was on vacation, the neighbors had a large gathering. This party had adults inside and the kids about a dozen, outside.

When I returned home from vacation I had no less than 3 seperate neighbors come and tell me (within 24hrs) that the kids were all over my son's playset in OUR yard. Not to mention the yelling and screaming that went with it.

So on Monday, I was taking the trash out to the curb and there was Mom and Dad walking little newborn. I had to make my point the first time I saw them because otherwise, it would be diluted or lost.

I told them I knew of the kids playing on Nathan's playset and that we have expectations of how to play ont he set and when I am not home I can not make sure those expectations are met so that all the kids are safe.

The DAD just stared at me and never said a word and the Mom said she was not aware the kids were on the playset. FIRST PROBLEM. Then she went on to say that she will not allow the kids to play in our yard when we are not home. I corrected her by saying that it is up to Nathan to INVITE the kids into our yard or not. She babbled something and commented on my tan!

Since then we wave and the daughter has only been over once to sell some school stuff. Seems like she is no longer my pest but they are still my neighbors and I really do not like the fact that they don't watch their kids and that they don't have a good sense for other's property. But so far, all has been quiet.

Thank you to all that have responded you have validated my feelings and giving me some ideas.

What do you all make of this reaction?

Lynn
