Recently, my DH told me I look "tired", but I'm not!
A friend just had her eye lids "lifted" and they look great. She FEELS great and does not look tired anymore.
She tells me the dr.says the best time to do this is before 55, which is where I am. (48).
It cost her only $1600 including the consultation.
I'm seriously considering this. It supposedly lasts for forever.
Anyone do this or contemplate it?

$1600 for both eyes. Dianne.......just wondering how long it really lasts. Does not seem too painful and my friend said she'd stay with me the 48 hrs that you are supposed to do NOTHING!

I've always thought that if I ever did anything, it would be an eyelid lift - well, maybe botox, too.

I'm sick and tired of my husband telling me I look tired or people asking me what's wrong when I'm just fine. I know it's the aging, sagging, and bagging. I told my husband to get used to the new look or get me a face lift for Christmas. Dianne, is it possible to have only the eye lid lift without other surgery? Or does one surgery lead to looking like you need another. I'd like a neck lift too. And a butt lift.

Oh,(not Dianne, but I can answer) you do not need another surgery. This friend has a friend who had it done last year. They both look FAB!!
My friends wants to get a "jowl" lift, but later on.

I had to have the eye lift surgery done because my left eye was droppy because of a medical problem. Where does this friend live that had the surgery for only $1600????!!!!!!!!!!!! The doctor and hospital bill was over $6000! Both eyes. I was awake thru the whole thing. Just a local with meds to make me feel good. Need to be awake so the doc can ask you to open your eyes to make sure they match. Makes sense to me! There was absolutely no pain! BUT.....my eyes looked like I'd been in a World Heavyweight Title! Very swollen and very black eyes. Had it done about 2 1/2 years ago. It lasts forever as far as I know. My insurance was kind enough to pay for both eyes to be done. They decided it would be nice if both eyes matched. I say go for it. I was in the hospital for about six hours, then went home. Good luck on whatever you decide to do. My eyelids are still numb, and probably will be forever. Lynne

Uh oh........I have a feeling they "milked" the insunrance since they paid. That $1600 is in Las Cruces, NM. Insurance does not pay, of course, since it's considered "cosmetic".
Still numb, huh? I'll ask my friend how she feels. She just had it done Oct 16 a swollen a bit yet,but she returns Jan 16 for a follow up.
Thanks for your info!
