Remember Tangee lipstick? Evening in Paris? Tabu? These are just a few of the items you can buy here:
http://www.vermontcountrystore.com/Shop

I came across this site by accident when I was looking for a fabric shower curtain liner that didn't billow out into the tub and around me while I'm showering, and yes, I found one here. I have to tell you that this liner is fabulous. It's heavy cotton canvas, stays put, and so far has dried out pretty quickly after a shower. I don't know how it would do in more humid areas. It was a little pricy, but well worth it. I can take a shower without the liner sticking to me!! They have all kinds of cool stuff - it was like strolling down memory lane.

I get their catalog four times or so a year and think I posted it here awhile back. You can get the old candies, and their bedware and rugs etc. can't be beat on quality. My kitchen throw rugs, rug on both sides, none of that rubber junk that washes away, have lasted me for six years now. Order their catalog the merchandise is not to be believed as Yonuh says...

yonuh, it's a great site and catalog. I visited the store when i was in Vermont. My favorite aisle was the candy aisle. GO figure. It was sent up like the old candy stores with stuff in jars and barrels. Great fun.

Love that place. Give me cheese or chocolate and I think I'm
in Heaven. I get their catalog, too.

Yes Chatty
so did I ..by email..loved it.Donna too.
Costs as much to post the item (pea coat) as to buy it.
so I will consider...
If by chance there is a deal where over a certain ammount the post reduces then I will soon choose other items. The home things which I can gift to friends too.
What I loved was the old worldliness of the store.
And I am getting a catalogue sent...

As you know (my afgan) mailing cost is really steep..
