Oh, Dotsie,
Yes, we went out to "Weber's" and I got peaches and made Peach Cobbler and ate too much and hubby loved it . Had fried egg plant last night . Oh, those scallops love them and that is next on the menu . Love to cook in the summer so much fresh veggie's . They have the yellow Freestone that are so good , did not pick up white peaches yet , but will this weekend.
We eat a high fiber diet of whole wheat bread , I hve been eating the weight watcher bread an love that whole wheat . Ilove bread also and I had olive bread one time and not sure where now . Yummy ! ''

Okay what is for tomorrow night LOL

Laurel, I don't dislike all bread, I just don't get terribly excited over it. And almost never eat it plain. If I couldn't have butter or cream cheese, I'd completely skip bread and most other starches. The best I've done is to switch to salsa for chips (which I don't eat that often) as opposed to the cream-cheese based dips of my youth.

When I have bread, it's the whole grain types with seeds, nuts etc. The more stuff in it or on it, the better.

And if you haven't figured it out yet -- my weakness is dairy. High fat & creamy. I really don't have that much because of cholesterol, but it's my guilty-food-of-choice.

Meredith, no bread? I can't live without bread. Gotta have my bread.

Orchid, no scones or biscuits? Ah! I love them both.

My biggest weakness is bread. I could live on it. Couldn't do the low carb diet everyone was on.

Well, Laurel, I never was really into biscuits...partially because I never made them and also find them abit heavy.

I like certain types of scones...if they have less butter/shortening or whatever less "ingredients" that makes some scones heavy in texture and taste. There's a lovely recipe...I made several times that used yogurt, orange juice/peel and candied ginger on top.

I actually only like desserts with abit of butter not lots of butter...tastes too heavy for my palate. Remember I was raised on Asian food for the lst 20 yrs. of life...so my dislike for heavy buttery or super cheesy recipes, is not surprising.

I used to like cheesecakes but no longer like alot of them unless they have a more "sophisticated" light texture. Mousse-like cakes I love and creme brulees, yes!

Let's name some things we've NEVER tasted. Want to? I just realized that I've never had creme brulees. I want to! The name just sounds yummmy.

Also, I've never had escarole. And never will. My EX LOVED snails, and that of course explains why he is an EX. mahahaha...okay, just joshin'....too many reasons to name here.

So, who's next?

I've had smoked alligator butter...omGosh was it ever yummy...it was at a restaurant in Long Beach Mississippi that got blown away by Katrina...they haven't rebuilt but I sure wish they would...I'd drive over there to have that tasty butter on their wonderful homemade bread. I've never had alligator steaks or anything and not sure I would want to, but I've always said I'll try anything once...if after one bite I don't like it, I can at least say I've tasted it.

Well I'll something perhaps tomorrow or so I've never had before --bought lamb sausage flavoured with anise, cinnamon and whatever else. There's a great sausage place that has all sorts of innovative sausage --in addition to traditional (ie. weisswurst, a German veal sausage), there's chicken sausage with lime and ginger, chicken sausage with sake and onion, elk, buffalo (low fat, lean), etc.

I've eaten just about everything but here in my neck of the woods they have a wildlife feast once a year and they eat such things as possum, raccoon, pheasant, alligator, squirrel, armadillo, rattle snake, wild boar, etc.

Unless I and my family was starving to death, wouldn't touch any of these with a 10' pole.

Funny but if you were served one or all of them I bet you would never be able to tell and probably would like them, if of course someone with talent for cooking made them...
