But bad posture has always been with us. Kids especially develop certain stances that they think are cool (Confession: I used to stand with one hip thrust way up! -- 
hand on hip.) When you're a teen, your body is so much more flexible, so the stupid posture stances probably don't do much damage. Thankfully I outgrew that phase by the time I was 16 or 17.
