2 years ago I was appointed Poet Laureate of Placentia Library District, for a one-year term. We had a big inauguration.

Last year the Library Board voted me in for another year. Our "year" starts every July.

This year, no one voted anything. I probably wasn't even on the list of topics discussed at the Board meeting. HOWEVAH, I'm still the Poet Laureate and still on the Library Program Committee.

I guess my appointment has been changed to "until whenever..." [Roll Eyes]

Maya Angelou better watch out! Our Meredith is a perenial poet laureate. Speaking of Maya Angelou, I noticed that she is doing an ad for cable television on Lifetime T. It seems strange that she is a spokesperson on the benefits of cable TV. I love the stuff at Hallmark that they put her poems on. Meredith, you go girl! LLL
