Use lemon oil instead of harsh cleaners. Coat a soft,(I prefer flannel) with lemon oil and wipe down. Removes soap scum without effort and leaves glass shining If badly coated with soap scum it may take a few times to remove all, but far better and easier than the harsh cleaners

This works on mirrors as well. Put a small amount of lemon oil on cleaning cloth and wipe till oil streaks disappear

I have found that using a 'magic sponge' is all it takes. I was buying the expensive Mr. Clean sponges, but now I buy the cheapest I can (most stores have their own generic brand.) It cuts through soap film without using any cleaning agent or chemical. I get several wipe-downs per sponge - and they are great on the grout also.

I love my 'magic' sponges...I used one on my refrigerator door and the stove, they have textured surfaces, and they came out wonderful.

I've used lemon oil on my glass shower doors for years. Works great.

Haven't heard of the magic sponge. I'll have to check that one out.

Pardon my ignorance, but where do they sell lemon oil and who makes it. I'm guessing it's in the cleaning aisle but I can't recall ever seeing it. I need it for my windows.

Most people recognize the brand name Old English. It is with the other furniture polish.

I'm a recent convert to water and vinegar as a cleaning agent. They do make the windows sparkle, Dotsie.

And guess what those "magic" sponges are called here? Eraser. They're good because you just wipe over and do not need to use a cleansing agent. Very eco friendly. Just wet it and voila!

Plus Dotsie there is 'NO' danger to a pet or small children with vinegar either, baking soda is also good, especially in and for cleaning the fridge

BWS'ers...
Do any of you know how to get rid of that underlying cloudiness, which builds-up in old mirrors? I've tried the ususal: vinegar and ammonia; every type of windex, etc.
Thanks in advance!!!
