OK, I know that Christmas is over, but I was out of the country for the holiday. Now it's time to see a friend who is a bit more than "just a friend", but not a boyfriend. I know he's got a gift for me, and I want to give him something too. And that's the dilemma.

I'm at a loss. He doesn't like to read, doesn't listen to music on a regular basis, doesn't like sweaters, doesn't wear a watch. Any suggestions in the $30-$50 dollar range that say "I like you", but are not "boyfriend" gifts?

He does like movies, my only idea so far has been a gift certificate to Blockbuster, but that seems like I haven't put any thought into it at all.

He's done several thoughtful things for me (including crocheting a gorgeous afghan), so I'd like for it to be nice, but not "too" nice. Make any sense?

Geez, no wonder I like to be "gone" at Christmastime.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Whirlwind,
Maybe a gift certificate to his favorite restaurant, one good for a few times. Or if he drives around, GAS CARDS were a big hit here this year. Good luck and welcome home...

How about a set of his favorite TV show?

You know a guy who crochets? How cool is that? Let me guess...he was very close to his granmother growing up? Is that right?

Yarn? A gift card for Yarn at a great yarn boutique?

A paid subscription to Netflix for a period of time?
