Guess what?
It happened.
Just as predicted.
FDA does not care about human health.
Their mission is to obey milk and meat
producers. FDA has once again learned
the power of Washington lobbyists.

On Friday, April 10, 2009, FDA announced a two
month delay in the implementation of the 2008 BSE
rule which would have banned feeding cow brains
and spines from potentially infected animals back
to livestock as feed.
Outrageous? Yes!

The FDA is giving you an extremely tiny window of
opportunity to comment on their insanity.
You must do so by Thursday, April 16, 2009.

Post an Internet comment at FDA's website:

FDA WEBSITE

At the very top of the page you will be instructed to:

SEARCH DOCUMENTS.

Type in: 2002N–0273 and post your comment.

AS you know, April 16th is next week...
Post comment on FDA site
AND pass this along, please!!!
Our children's lives are at stake.

It would be nice if the FDA actually inspected food and did
the job they're paid to do. Geese. Every little while you hear about recalls of one kind a edible or another, i.e.: peanut
butter; peanuts; beef; crackers; etc. The nasty items found at
that peanut factory would turn stomachs, merely thinking about
them, say nothing of ingesting 'em. Gosh. Do your job; will you people?

Having lived and worked in DC. I can tell you without a doubt that the FDA is as crooked as the rest of the Government is. They do a job allowing things through from the people who pay them the most money I believe the going rate is now $200,000.

Spent years wondering if there actually was an FDA?

Now why would the FDA allow healthy animals to be fed tainted products? That's nuts!

I once knew a career meat inspector. And the stuff he told me back in the 1970s made my hair curl. You are so right about our very crooked government.

The only silver lining is that no atter how corrupt things are, we still have a better "checking system" than almost every other country on earth. In many places you buy at the market and you take your chances. Period.

At least we have SOME inspectors who give a damn and cannot be bought.

Josie,
You'are absolutely right, IMO. No matter how much we complain,
we still live in the greatest country on earth! IMO!
