We only had about 8-10 groups of kids come to our door. How sad is that? We had a huge basket of candy left so it went out the door to hubby's office. There is no way I can keep that around here. Here's my crew...homemade, recycled costumes, homemade bags, and they craved their pumpkins. They both had a small one to do, then a family pumpkin. My DIL really made this a fun experience for them. They took old gift bags and colored them, then cut out bats and pumpkins and glued them on. And I don't think we ever bought a costume from the store - there was always something around the house that we could turn into a costume. We ended up with only one group of trick-or-treaters; we had a light rain off and on, so that was part of the problem. Also, the shops in town have a "Safe Trick or Treat", so many families go there and then just go home.
