I've never made them before (hated eggs as a kid and do not recall my mother ever making them) but DH is asking for them.

Anyone care to share a recipe?

I don't really follow a recipe, but this is what I do:

Hard boil the eggs, peel, and cut in half longwise. Gently scoop out the yolk into a bowl and set the whites aside.

Use a fork and mix the yolk with mayo, salt and pepper, a dab of mustard, and if you like - pickle relish. (I do, my hubby doesn't). The consistency should be thick and smooth.

Then fill the whites with the yolk mixture, sprinkle with a dab of paprika if you like, and enjoy! I LOVE deviled eggs.

Sorry I don't have measurements for you! I'm not a really good cook and just kind of throw things together. Good luck!

Kathy

This is exactly how I make mine as well and they are yummy! Some people don't add mustard but I think those people are commie pinko's...

Also, use Helmans Mayo...teehee...

This is how I make mine too, but my dad taught me to put a little bit of ketchup in these, as well as egg salad. Gives them a little more color and tang.

Throw together chefs are the best kind Kathy....

I make the 6 eggs, remove the yolks, set aside the 12 whites. Mash the 6 yolks, lightly salt and pepper then, thinly chop an onion and add to the yolks, I also finely chop one stalk of celery and add it to the mixture, then add 2 tablespoons on Miracle Whip(not mayo because M.W. is sweeter) mix well and drop into the yolks. I then dust them with Paprika to pretty them up.

Now you can also chop and add either three green or black olive to the mixture....a matter of taste.

I like the onions and sometimes I add some diced green peppers also. I like them just about any way though.

Hmmm. Maybe I'll make some. All these ideas are making me hungry.

I've been adding a few drops of balsamic vinegar to mine. It gives it a great taste. I also sprinkle dry parsley in the mix or fresh if I have any on hand.

I've been avoiding this thread because I LOVE devilled eggs, but since I have one egg almost every morning for breakfast (long story why), I'm hesitant to have them other times of the day. But this week I'll have to forego the eggs one morning and make these devilled eggs for lunch. I like the idea of adding the balsamic vinegar and parsley...hmmm, tummy's growling, not a good time to be reading all this yummy stuff.
