Boomer Babes,
Now you all know I hate to cook...I mean my idea of the ideal kitchen is one with vending machines in it, BUT! Mother gave me a recipe for a deelish soup that you must try! It's so easy even I made it. Tonight too! Yummm...So I thought I would share it. Chatty's probably laughing...that sokay...it's fast, easy, and good.

Here tis....Cheesy Chicken Soup
(I just made that name up)

1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
1 can Chicken Noodle Soup
1 can Shoepeg Corn (around 10 oz I think)
1 can of diced tomatoes and green chilis
1 cup Shredded Monterrey Jack Cheese (I had to buy the Mont/Cheddar combination because that was all the store had...still good!)
1/2 cup water

Drain the corn. Mix everything together and let it heat up just long enough for all of the cheese to melt....YUMMMMMMM.....it has a bite to it.

Enjoy!

JJ

Hey, I would never laugh at anyones recipes. WELL almost never....I think this sounds a lot like suckatash. I love that stuff and will try your recipe. I sometimes just want "fast and good." I'm going to use Green Giant corn if that's okay since I have not a clue as to what the other stuff is you mentioned. [Confused]

Okay, I know this one. It's kind of long skinny corn that is whiter and longer and skinnier than regular corn.
Yep, that's shoepeg corn.
JJ and I must be long lost sisters. (Oh my lord, is the world ever in trouble now!!)

Yes, Shoepeg corn is white, and it is sweet too, so make sure you get the Green Giant sweet corn if you're not going to use the Shoepeg Chatty cause it compliments the hot of the chili peppers!

Thank you Sistah Smiles for clearing that up. Heck, I thought everybody knew what Shoepeg was...

p.s. Chatty, this recipe is a billion times better than suckatash. Well, at least I think so. Hugs!
