A friend recommended this. Anyone in here take it?

It has soy, black cohosh, vitamins B-6, E and calcium.

I'm adding it to my vitamins.

Any thoughts?

I've heard very good things about estroven and I use the same herbs individually. I think, like all natural products, it might take up to a few momths to feel the full effect. But I think it works.

Dots,

I have been dealing with the joys of menopause for about 5 years. I decided against HRT, just 'cause I thought it was to scarey. I have been taking both "New Phase" ( because it contains chasteberry) and Revival Soy (order over the internet) on a daily basis. I still have a flash now and then, but it is much better than it was at the beginning. Plus my mood is good and I sleep at night. Hopefully, I'll come out the other side soon. Now about this arthritis!!??!

Dotsie - I started taking natural vitamins with all those ingredients and it helped me. I didn't take one vitamin but took individual caps of blk cohash, etc. The American Native women used black cohash and it was called squaw root. Most of the pharmaceutical companies, origianlly, get their products from natural sources. Aspirin from sacylcic (probably spelled incorrectly) acid which comes from the bark of the willow tree. Have a headache? Make a tea of willow bark and drink it. Nothing new under the sun...

In the entire time since he Eruopean came to the Americas, not one medicinal plant has been discovered by pharmaceutical companies that was not previously known and used by the American Indian.

(I'm a native American nurse and I discovered that while researching a documentary for IHS)

I took two, chickened out, and am waiting until I see my doctor in March. I guess it's because the only time I've taken anything like this was when I took the pill. It made an ovarian cyst grom from the size of a golf ball to the size of a grapefruit [Eek!] in a month. I don't need anything growing inside me these days.

smilinize, years ago I invested in a company called Shaman Pharmaceuticals, who tried to bring products to the market based on native medicine cures from the Amazon rainforest. Unfortunately one of their big research projects -- an anti-diarrheal -- didn't get approved by the FDA and the company went under.
