As I lay in bed this morning, I heard a radio talk show discussing Fish Oil w/Omega 3 and how it's just about the "be all, end all' for muscle aches, bones, heart health etc.

So, I went out to Walmart and got a 2 for 1 price on 1200 mgs, gel soft gels. They have NO aftertaste and are easy to swallow.

Anyone else take Fish oil? They say it's sardines, anchovy and soy as the ingredients listed.

Hubbo and I take fish oil regularly. Omega3's are important for everyone.

You're right -- no aftertaste grin

Been taking them for years. My husband and I don't like fish so we take the fish oil supplements instead.

We try to consume fish twice a week and we also take Udo's Oil, which I believe is an alternative to fish oil as it contains Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. It is a liquid version made w/ flax, sesame, and sunflower seed oils. I try to take it consistently but when I do forget, I can really tell the difference. My allergies flare up and my skin feels really dry. Also, it really helps my one daughter w/ eczema. It goes away w/in days.

Salmon oil is now available, which is supposed to be better than the fish oil. I take 1,000 mg every other day.

You must always take the Omega 3 and 6 together, one makes the other work best. Omega 3 is okay alone but not nearly as potent or beneficial as the two are together. I and my mom have taken the fish oil plus eaten the good fish for years and years. It does aldd to your life, I am positive of that.
I am reading about a new natural substance being touted in ALL the medical journals as something that will not only make your blood pressure drop drasticall but also improves memory, lower cholesterol, helps one get off diabetes drugs and turnsd up your metabolism. Its called Ecklonia cava or EC for short. EC is incredibally safe as it is a food. Some of the oldest people in the world from Asia, have eaten the seaweed it is extracted from for centuries. When taken it can cut blood pressure by 40 points in just twelve days with NO medications. But there is no known drug-nutrient interactions so you can take it safely even while taking other drugs or supplements. Peop-le haver taken thousands of doses with no side effects what-so-ever

I did not know that there was an Omega 6...I'll check into it.

Also, I know that seaweed/kelp is the BEST form of calcium one can obtain. Years ago I tried it in dried form....looked like carbon paper of the olden days. It was delish.....put it on a salad.

Anyone know where to get any??
