I think since I took myself off Premarin, my hair is coming out in clumps.

I do not want to take a pill for this. I'd rather eat food to help correct this. Does anyone know what to eat? Or a website you can refer me to?

I also notice that my skin is peeling and I have a wart..which i NEVER get.

Thanks for any info!

Signs of biotin deficiency include hair loss, dermatosis, anorexia, nausea, weight loss, muscle pains, and localized loss of sensation.

Here is a site where they list foods with biotin
http://www.healthyeatingclub.com/info/books-phds/books/foodfacts/html/data/data4h.html

Pantothenic acid and biotin are found in foods that are good sources of B vitamins, including the following:

* Eggs
* Fish
* Milk and milk products
* Whole-grain cereals
* Legumes
* Yeast
* Broccoli and other vegetables in the cabbage family
* White and sweet potatoes
* Lean beef

Well, I spoke w/my local medicine woman. She's been an herbalist for many years...she is 83. She told me it's probably due to stress and gave me some "Red Duck" herb to rinse my hair with. She says it will also do away with the wart.

So, I'll try it and report soon!

I started taking a Biotin supplement after reading it was good to build up weak, fine and thinnig hair. My hair is very fine but I have alot of it. My nails have always been like tissue paper all my life. Since taking the Biotin, my hair looks great and my nails are long, strong and I never even wear polish. I have a hard time breaking a nail now. Biotin is something I have recommended to everyone.
