If anyone is interested.

I make my own and probably have for many years. Does anyone else do this? I hate the junk they put into the store-bought mixes. This is what I do:

Melt/microwave about a tbsp. of butter in coffee cup (I use a tall one), then add/mix about two tsps.of cocoa powder, until it appears pasty.

Add about 1/4 cup (or more) of low-fat powdered milk, then boiled water. Then add some honey instead of sugar. Stir like crazy!

It warms my belly and it's all so good for you.

Alternatives:

Replace honey wth turbinado sugar
Replace powder milk/boiled water with hot milk (we don't
use milk often. The powdered milk is a staple around here for just about everything!)
Add some flavored liquid or powdered creamer
Add cinnamon to taste

Thanks Di, I just printed that off and plan to try that out. It's snowing here today, so maybe this afternoon will be the perfect day to treat myself!

Thanks Eagle. You may need to adjust it to your taste. I just "wing it" and came up with what I thought was a good recipe.

Please let us know what you think/how it turns out, ok??

Actually the butter is what I use (with the cocoa powder) when I bake. I don't use the "baking squares" anymore...so the butter and cocoa powder combo is the substitute.

Yes. Stevia is good. But the honey is even MORE BETTER! LOL!! You will not even taste the honey after the cocoa is in.

Glad you guys are trying this. I agree...the store junk is junky!!
