I am the author of Open Your Heart With Winter Fitness, which is currently available for pre-sales at Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1601660...ASIN=1601660022 The first oart of the book describes the spiritual, physical and psychological benefits of learning a snowsport as an adult. The second part presents a detailed snow sport fitness program. I own a sport fitness studio in Frisco Colorado, and occasionally write for local publications, Aspen Magazine, HerSports, onthesnow.com and other print and online publications. I was happy to discover this excellent forum!

I'm a fair weather skiier myself - it's got to be warm (maybe 45 and up) and clear with no wind. Then I absolutely love it! We just got our first inch of snow here last night. I'm about three miles away from Mountain High Resort, and they've been making snow for the past week, so now it will be pretty all over, and not just on the runs. Looking forward to seeing you around! Kathy
