So are all you santas going to keep it a secret about who you're buying for? I don't know my gift person very well and am wondering if I should ask her some questions to get a better idea of a good gift.

You know, I'm more worried about my cards and gift for BWS than for anyone in my family!! Off to find the cards today.

Can I make some suggestions to everyone? If you're having trouble personalizing the gift, remember...gift certificate make wonderful presents and give the person involved something, JUST FOR THEM. And with all of the holiday sales AFTER Christmas, they can get more for the bucks.

Barnes and Noble
Wal-Mart and K-Marts of the world
Targets
Michaels
CVS
Walgreens
Magazine subscriptions
A bazillion places on line that will ship things for you!
(You have to pay postage anyway, so why not let THEM do it?)

And don't forget all the Authors you have here on the board who could send autographed copies of their books! Wuhooo!


A CD would make a wonderful gift, either a book on CD, MUSIC, whatever, and they are lightweight making the postage minimal.

A "special" Christmas tree ornament. Every time they saw it, they would think of YOU! How special is that?

Picture frames come in all sorts of sizes, shapes, and colors nowadays with cute sayings on them, beads, etc...and who couldn't use another one? Also, photo albums. Wal-mart can be your friend.

Just have fun with the gift. It isn't about the gift, it's about connecting, sharing, and saying, "I'M YOUR BOOMER SISTER!"

That's so sweet Kathy. I know what you mean. I went shopping today, and spent most of my time looking at Christmas cards for my Boomer sisters. Funny, what this site does to ya.

I decided to give my Boomer sister a choice, so I sent her a PM which asked, "If a Genie could grant you a small wish for Christmas, whould you prefer a funny/nutty gift or a serious sophisticated one." She opted for the funny/nutty one SOOOO, have I got a gift for her. I can hardly wait because I am 'Queen of Unique' (sorry JJ) when it comes to shopping....

Well, it's going to be hard to keep it a secret as the UK stamp would be a giveaway soooooooooo, I am thinking of another way around it so that she would not know it was from me. Yep, thinking...thinking...thinking...thinking...

I personally think that its more fun to know who your mystery Santa is. If not immediately then awhile afterwards. I want to know, so I hope she'll tell me...Yooo-hooo, are you reading this Mystery Santa.
