There were five authors (three of them childrens book authors) and I particularly enjoyed chatting with all of them. I sold 20 books and left five autographed copies behind in the store.....it was a cold and rainy day here which I think brought in the crowds. Twenty books doesn't sound like much, BUT for our town, it is! I'm very happy. Thanks to all of you for your encouragement, good wishes, and helping me "keep the faith". My book isn't a kids book - more for older teens and up - but these writers who do kids material are always so animated and upbeat - and when they do a reading there's so much "personality" in it. Lori Bakewell who also lives here in my town did a reading for the group of kids who were there and they were totally mesmerized.
