I like Chadwick's, which is a catalog.
We have a great store in our town called Upscale Resale, which is a big step up from a thrift store, but the prices are really great!

I've always joked that I'd have a running balance on my Neiman Marcus card (Needless Mark-up) but after reading that stores such as these charge a huge finance rate, it isn't such a joke anymore. Balance gone and no more charging on their card. Any ads that come in the mail from them are thrown in the trash without looking at them. I'm being a good girl. Either that or I'm deeply depressed and need to be medicated!

We have a store here in Vegas where entertainers and wealthy women donate their clothes, some worn once, some never. The store is called "Ravishing Rags." I helped name it for my girlfriend....Super deals too.

I shop in the same stores as Cindy! I must admit that I haven't been happy with our Macy's or Kohl's in quite awhile lately. They have tons of clearance racks that take so long to look through for your size. I feel like it's all junk. Sears is better in our town and Penney's too. I never find anything in TJ Maxx or Marshalls because of all those racks with different sizes and different clothes on one rack. You need too much time to go through all of them. I really need a fashion designer or consultant to come to my home! Oh...they can bring a seamstress with them too.

Pam, I get so confused when I shop at Marshalls so I gave up there. Sears has really come a long way : )

Chatty, some worn once or never? You're kidding! Wow! Talk about waste.

Hey when you are filthy rich and buy just because you can you don't really appreciate things (my opinion) and so its easy to give them away. Some wear a gown just once because the beautiful people already saw it at another event. You should see some of the stuff people donate to her shop. She also gives a part of the profits to a home for abused women, children and pets.

Here in Scotland we have many woollen stores. So I am the owner of sweaters in many colours.I like Marks ans Spencers for trousers ans skirts.Recently instead of coats in Autumn I wear drapy long cardigans.
My daughter started knitted little scarves in fancy wools. These are so nice and no one knows I am wearing clothes from ages ago when I chop and change these accesories.
I really likes nice handbags but favourite is a velvety tote bag bought in a Christmas Fair in York at St. Nicholas Fayre which is an annual do with great stalls of clever craft people.
As I get older I have developed my own style...but wish I could see all the shops you are all describing.

Here in NC, a popular department store is Belks. For me, shopping there is a real roulette game. Sometimes I go in and find lots of things I like AND ON SALE, other times I wouldn't give you ten cents for their entire collection.

I love Coldwater Creek, but there's no outlet nearby and I too often have to send things back because they don't fit. Their clothing is manufactured by a lot of different firms and there's no consistency in the sizes.

I seriously am considering going back to sewing some of my own clothes. Last year I bought a brocade vest I just loved from WalMart, wore that thing everywhere and always got compliments on it, but have never since seen anything else like it. So now I'm wondering if I could use it as a pattern to make some more in different fabrics.

I usually dress in separates so I can mix and match, but I can't always find compatible colors/fabrics. With the simple lines they're showing now in clothes, I'm really thinking it might be time to break out the ol' Singer.

I love reuse shops too, and have a few of my favorites. I also enjoy smaller shops, unique and independently owned. Two chains I love are Chico's (great sale racks) and J Jill, (also great sale racks).
